French luxury giant, LVMH has confirmed it is shutting down Rihanna’s FENTY fashion house. It has been less than two years since it launched.

“Rihanna and LVMH have jointly made the decision to put on hold the RTW activity, based in Europe, pending better conditions.”

The FENTY online shop is expected to shutting down in a few weeks, while physical activities take a slow tune down at Fenty’s Paris headquaters to wind down operations.

There has been no new collection updates on their website. Since January 1, Fenty’s instagram page has not made any new post as well.

Rihanna was the first Black woman to head an original brand with LVMH when Fenty Fashion House launched in 2019, with modern, contemporary silhouettes and luxurious pieces. In 2014, she became the creative director of Puma and has also created collections for British store River Island.
