DStv is introducing a lifestyle channel, HONEY, expecting to start airing on February 15, 2021 on DStv Channel 173.

The channel has a lineup of Pan-African shows with personalities across Africa including ; Anele Zondo and Mbali Nkosi, among others.

The new channel brings an exciting blend of African lifestyle content by African content creators. The content line-up covers lifestyle, food and cooking, relationships and weddings, along with reality shows from various parts of the African continent.

A host of female presenters will handle most of the shows to start with. Personalities such as Pearl Umeh (Nigeria), Patricia Kihoro, Foi Wambui (Kenya) will make the channel unapologetically bold and vibrant.

HONEY will air shows like:

Pastors’ wives
It features pastors’ wives from across the continent as they do their best for their families and church communities. A reality show produced by Sonia Mbele.

Love swap
A Nigerian reality drama series that culminates in a joint dinner featuring couples, during which they share their impressions of each other.

Making the menu
A Kenyan series in which two food bloggers create a bespoke meal for a popular local eatery, with the restaurateur deciding which dish deserves a space on the menu.

Ehe, it’s a match
It’s a colourful dating show shot in Zambia, in which a cooking cupid invites two potential love birds to his or her home and cooks them a meal. After the meal, the two decide whether to meet up again at a local eatery.

Other shows to be aired on ‘HONEY’ will include; ‘Shine shine‘, ‘Hoot, cook, go‘, ‘The buzz‘, ‘The next big trender, among others.
